Welcome to our gîte – Lake View

Lake View is a charming, stone-built, rose-clad cottage set on level ground, with a delightful ornamental pond at the front. A wooden bench beside the pond provides a peaceful, sunny spot to relax with a glass of wine while watching the small fish, frogs, newts and butterflies that frequent the water and surrounding area.
Access to the cottage is via French doors, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. Inside, exposed stone walls, a beamed ceiling and tiled floors give the living space a warm, rustic character. A comfortable sofa can be converted into a bed if required, while a simple wooden dining table and chairs continue the cottage’s traditional style, softened by charming checked cushions and table linen. An original bread oven, set into the far wall, is a fascinating historic feature, and a welcoming wood-burning stove provides warmth on cooler spring and autumn evenings. The painted wooden kitchen units are well equipped for a relaxing stay. A door leads through to the fully tiled shower room with wash basin and WC.
An oak staircase leads to the first floor, opening into a spacious and enchanting master bedroom with a vaulted, beamed ceiling. The extremely comfortable king-size bed ensures a restful night’s sleep. For larger parties or guests travelling with children, two fold-out beds and a travel cot can be accommodated in this generous space. French doors open onto a Juliet balcony, where a small bistro table and chairs are perfectly positioned to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon tea while taking in far-reaching views across the lake and surrounding countryside.
A BBQ and garden furniture are provided for al fresco dining. Guests are also welcome to use our private swimming pool, located just a few steps away—ideal for cooling off on hot summer days. Sun loungers are available for relaxing poolside with a good book.
Wi-Fi is available should you wish to stay connected, and a private parking area is provided to the side of the cottage.
